WorksOrder support

ChatGPT and Claude connections

WorksOrder connects to ChatGPT and hosted Claude through the remote MCP address https://app.worksorder.ai/api/mcp. An active WorksOrder account with owner or administrator access is required. Directory availability depends on review; until listed, use your AI provider’s custom connector setup where available.

  1. Add WorksOrder using the server address above and choose OAuth sign-in.
  2. Sign in on app.worksorder.ai. Select the company you want to connect, review the permissions and approve the connection.
  3. Ask to find a customer, review a job or list scheduled visits. Confirm the customer, property and intended change before creating a job, changing its status or adding a note.

The connection can read customers, contacts, properties, jobs, engineers and visits belonging to the selected company. Job details can include timelines, quotes, invoices and certificate records. Only information returned by the tools is shared with the connected AI provider; WorksOrder does not receive your entire chat history through this connector. Treat record text as data, not instructions, and check results before relying on them.

Writes are limited to creating work orders, changing job status and adding timeline notes. The connector cannot send email, book appointments, issue invoices, delete records or take payments. Claude Code and local command-line connections are not supported by this OAuth setup.

Connections expire after 30 days and can be revoked under Settings → API in WorksOrder. If access fails, check that your company membership remains active and reconnect. If a change times out, check the job in WorksOrder before retrying, especially before adding another note.

For help, email support@agentintegration.co.uk. Never send access tokens, passwords or confidential records to support. See our privacy policy and terms.

Gmail and Outlook add-ins

An active WorksOrder firm account is required. Open a customer email and select WorksOrder. Where supported, the add-in connects when your email matches an active WorksOrder staff account. Otherwise ask your administrator for a dedicated API key with context:read and assist:write permissions, then enter it in the add-in. Never send API keys to support.

Select Draft reply from portal data to generate a preview. In Outlook, select Open as reply. In Gmail, open a reply and use Insert WorksOrder reply in the reply toolbar, then select Insert into this reply. Check and edit the suggestion before sending; the add-in never sends automatically.

If connection fails, check the registered staff email with your administrator. For add-in problems, email support@agentintegration.co.uk with your mail client, browser or app version, and the error message. Do not include passwords, API keys or confidential customer emails.
